Four Gods Clock

●Material：Dial・Yoshino cedar ●Size：25cm×25cm/115g The four gods, Blue Dragon, White Tiger, Suzaku, and Genbu, were painted on the center of the four walls of the Kitora and Takamatsuzuka burial mounds built in the Asuka period (710-794). On the ceiling, constellations were painted, and the sun and moon were placed in the east and west. Observation of the sun, moon, and constellations was essential for keeping track of the calendar and time. The “Four Gods Clock” was created to reflect this idea. Yoshino cedar was used as the material, and the twelve zodiac signs were used to divide 360 degrees into twelve sections. And the four deities are placed in the center. Please display it not only as an interior decoration but also as a guardian deity of our home. ●asukaomoidedo asukaomoidedo is a small workshop in a converted warehouse in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture.
