“WABI SABI” is a very popular pavilion exhibited at Japan Expo Paris, the biggest Japanese event held in France every year. It has been installed and operated by General incorporated Association Japan Promotion since 2011.

More than 480,000 Japan enthusiasts visited the WABI SABI pavilion in the last 10 years. About 700 Japanese artists, craftsmen and companies have been introduced at the pavilion in the last 10 years and 13,000 items of Japanese crafts and goods and art works have been introduced as well.

Among them, the lifestyle goods of a fusion of Japanese tradition and modernity such as fashion accessories and interior goods, which were created on the modern concept using traditional Japanese techniques and materials, were particularly popular. However, until now, the WABI SABI merchandise was available for only a few days of the year during Japan Expo Paris. In recent years, when Japanese goods and Japanese lifestyles have received a great deal of attention, the WABI SABI pavilion could be said to provide a valuable opportunity for the keenest enthusiasts of Japan to access the latest items that were still only available in Japan.
