●These scissors are made via sohi-dzukuri, a traditional technique used to make Japanese swords in which a single piece of hot steel is beaten without using a mold. They are safer and even easier to use and maintain than the previous “TOKYO RAXA”.

The tradition of “Shojiro” has been passed down from the first generation of sword smiths to the next generation. Yoichiro Ishizuka, now in the fifth generation, is a master craftsman with the skills of a master and the heart of an honest craftsman, manipulating metal and fire with power in a traditional process called so-hizukuri where a single block of iron is beat with plenty of steel for determining sharpness to create beautiful shapes without using any molds. After having their product, many people are surprised and say, “I can’t use anything else now”.
