●Material:Natural wood (Katsura), Lacquer ●Size/Weight:φ5.5×5cm/20g ●Artist:Kamakurabori SanSuiDo Kamakurabori is a lacquered craft that has been passed down from the Kamakura period to the present. It is said to be the origin of Kamakurabori that Buddhist sculptors at the time made furniture for the Zen Buddhist temples, and it is known as one of the distinctive lacquer wares that represent Kamakura Samurai and Zen culture. Using Katsura wood as the main material, delicate carving is applied to the base processed into various shapes, and lacquer is applied from the foundation over many layers. Sansuido’s Kamakurabori crafts are born from the craftsmanship. As the years go by and the more it is used, the brownish luster and texture of lacquer of Kamakurabori crafts increase and they keep attracting people with different expressions one by one. Why don’t you bring Kamakurabori craft into your daily life and feel the spirit of Samurai and Zen? https://www.instagram.com/kamakurabori.sansuido/
