In 2020, Niei was certified as the Traditional Craftsman and is actively working toward further achievements. Concurrently with a creative activities, she sells handmade ceramics by craftsmen who have trained at traditional kilns of Shimizu ware at the studio and shop “Meotoya Iroe” in Kyoto.”Meotoya Iroie” produces all processes from planning design to molding and painting. The works, which emphasizes the balance between the modern atmosphere and the traditional technique and design, has been well received in Japan and abroad.
