Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1983. After graduating from design the design course of the high school, Chikako Tanaka took on the challenge of making various things as a hobby. She made the hair ornaments of Tsumami craft for her own wedding and it led her to enter the world of the Tsumami craft, one of the representative Japanese traditional crafts. As her parents moved to Mino city in Gifu prefecture, where is famous for Washi (Japanese paper), Washi become familiar with her and now she is mainly making accessories using Washi.
